知性に倫理を、科学に愛を。大学入試問題改革案


大学入試問題が知識偏重であれば、そこへ向かう教育も知識偏重にならざるを得ません。知性には倫理が必要で、科学には愛が不可欠です。倫理なき知性は、自己目的化した悪性の拝金型資本主義を生み、愛なき科学は、「自分さえよければいい」というサイコパス社会を生み出します。

必要なのは、知性と倫理。そして科学と愛です。知識は必要不可欠ですが、知識「だけ」では、何も生み出せません。知識を有意義に組み合わせるインテリジェンスと、知識を豊かな生活に取り込んでいくアート、知識を持続可能で共存共栄が可能な社会に還元していくフィロソフィーが必要です。

こんな大学入試問題が共通で課せられるようになれば、きっと「勉強の仕方」も変わっていくでしょう・・・

国語

問 最近読んだ本を一冊取り上げ、中学生向けの推薦文を書け。

解説 国語力の礎であり、知性の根本でもある「読書」そのものを問う設問です。義務教育課程の中学生向けに自分の読んだ本を分かりやすく説明すること自体が、構想力・文章力・伝達力の確認となるでしょう。


社会

2科目を選択して答えよ。

地理

問 日本の標準時(東経135度)は、正式には「中央標準時」という。なぜ「中央」と表記されるのか、その理由について述べよ。

解説 日本の標準時を丸暗記しているだけでは答えられない問題です。日本の国土の広さを考えた時に、(1)まず日本列島が経度でいうとどの範囲に収まっているかという純粋な地理感覚だけでなく、(2)戦前の日本領だった台湾(西部標準時)、そして委任統治領であった南洋諸島の3つの時間帯(西部・中部・東部)などの存在があった、という歴史地理的な気づきも必要になってきます。

歴史

問 日本はNATOのグローバル・パートナー国である。日本とNATOの関係について、NATOの歴史に触れながら解説せよ。

解説 NATOの知識そのものではなく、戦後の冷戦構造が現代にも続いていることを複層的に理解した上で記述する必要がある設問です。

公民

問 「首都圏への一極集中」といわれる現象について概説し、その利点と課題について論ぜよ。

解説 東京の一極集中と一言で言っても、それが「人口」なのか、「経済」なのか、「企業の集積」なのか、そしてその「程度」はどのようなものなのかなど、論点は多岐にわたります。そして、そこには当然に利点(スケールメリット、グローバルな観点での都市競争力の強さなど)も、課題(災害時のリスクヘッジ、過疎化で地方からの人口供給が細ってきていることなど)もあるわけです。


数学

問 「台形の面積の公式」が導かれる理由を、小学3年生向けに説明せよ。

解説 台形の面積の公式「(上底+下底)×高さ÷2」、がなぜ導かれるのかを、できるだけ平易な言葉で解説することを求めた問題です。原理は「平行四辺形にする」ということなのですが、公式暗記型で来てしまうと虚を突かれるかもしれませんね。


理科

3科目を選択して答えよ。

物理

問 雨の振りはじめには、電車が定刻通りに運転できないことがある。その理由を説明せよ。

解説 まずは車輪とレールは鉄→摩擦が少ない→雨でぬれている→表面が滑りやすい→加速が遅く、ブレーキのタイミングが早い・・・ということが思いつくかもしれません。他にも、「持ち物が増えて、乗降そのものが遅くなる」というのもあるかもしれません。このあたりを物理的に説明できればよいでしょうか。

化学

問 食器洗い乾燥機の取扱説明書には、「食器洗い機専用洗剤」が必要で、「台所用洗剤」は使用してはならないという注意書きがある。その理由を、「食器洗い乾燥機専用洗剤」と「台所用洗剤」それぞれの特徴について触れながら述べよ。

解説 食洗機の洗剤は手で洗う必要がないので、皮膚への影響は関係なく、洗剤の洗浄能力が高い漂白成分や。高温で活性化する酵素を使える。洗浄ノズルを壊さないように発泡性も押さえられている。一方で台所用洗剤は低温かつ手で洗うので、中性・弱アルカリ性の肌に優しい成分で、洗浄能力を保つために発泡性が高い場合がある。・・・といった顕著な違いから説明ができるかな、と。

生物

問 私たち人間は、強いストレスを受けることで、体調を崩すことがある。そのメカニズムを、中学生向けに説明せよ。

解説 ストレスにより産出されるホルモン(コルチゾール、アドレナリンなど)と、自律神経の関係(交感神経と副交感神経のバランスなど)について述べればよさそうですね。

地学

問 日本は「温泉大国」と言われる。その理由を、「プレートテクトニクス」および「気候」の観点から説明せよ。

解説 温泉に必要な「熱源」「水」「流路」の3要素。火山性、非火山性ともに日本列島を作っている4つのプレートの活動が熱源となっていること、温暖で湿潤な気候で水が豊富なこと、山がちな国土で地層も複雑(だから様々な土壌があって温泉の種類も豊富)であることなどを組み合わせることで、説明できるかと思います。

解説 アメリカ独立宣言の原文です。これを直訳するのではなく、小学生でもわかるように意訳する、というのがポイントです。言葉と文化背景を接続した発想が不可欠になります。


哲学

問 1930年にジョン・メイナード・ケインズが予見した、「(技術の進歩による人類の繁栄により)2030年には、人々の労働時間が週15時間になる」ことは、21世紀初頭には実現していない。この事実に対し、2018年にデヴィッド・グレーバーは、現代では代わりに「ブルシット・ジョブ(クソどうでもいい仕事)」が生み出され、仕事自体のために「ブルシット・ジョブ」が再生産されているからであると説いた。グレーバーによる「ブルシット・ジョブ」の定義は、被雇用者本人でさえ、その存在を正当化しがたいほど、完璧に無意味で、不必要で、有害でもある有償の雇用の形態である(しかし、その雇用条件の一環として、本人は、そうではないと取り繕わなければならないように感じている)」というものである。さらに、「ブルシット・ジョブ」について、次の類型化を行った。

解説 きわめて現代的なトピックスである「ブルシット・ジョブ」についての自身の見解について述べる設問です。いち個人としての「社会観」「仕事観」が問われます。


倫理

問 自分が好きな歌手のコンサートのチケットが取れずにがっかりしていたところ、オークションサイトにおいて、当該のチケットが市価の5倍で取引されていた。その是非について自分の立場を明らかにし、その理由を論ぜよ。

解説 答えのない問題です。問題設定としては、なぜ、一般的に「転売」は嫌われやすいのか?ということですね。ここには、「商売」に対する倫理観(何が正解かは人によって違う)がありそうです。


情報リテラシー

1科目を選択して答えよ。

検索

問 インターネットを使い、以下の文中の(A)(B)および(C)に当てはまる数字(小数点以下を四捨五入した整数でよい)を答えよ。

解説 Google検索だけでなく、様々なリソースを駆使した総合的な「検索力」「発想力」を問う問題です。国交省のWebサイトでは、平成元年のものは掲載されていません。この設問の場合、「国会図書館」のデジタルアーカイブまでいくと、しっかりと数字を拾うことができるようになっています。

情報

問 自分のスマートフォンを使って、「自分の趣味」について紹介するウェブサイトを作成し、そのURLを記せ。

解説 スマホを使って30分でウェブサイトを作成・公開するという、「情報収集力」「構築力」を問う問題です。実際、少し調べれば、たくさんのサービスやアプリがあります。


推定

問 日本の全家庭にあるテレビゲーム機(携帯型を含む)の台数を推定せよ。

解説 いわゆるフェルミ推定の問題です。世帯数、テレビの台数、子どもの数・・・などが変数になるでしょうか。もしかすると、スマホも「ゲームができる機械」とみなして、台数に入れる推論も可能かもしれませんね。柔軟な「発想力」が問われます。


断片的な知識をいくら覚えているか、ではなく、知識と知識を有機的に組み合わせて、新しい価値を創出できているか-というところが、これらの設問のポイントであろうと思います。
